CHRISTINE SCHLECHT

R.M.T.

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Christine became a Registered Massage Therapist in 1998 and operated Revive Massage Therapy in Oakville for 22 years. She is a nature girl at heart, an avid athlete and a passionate golfer. Sports have taught Christine the importance of mind-body connection and nature has taught her a deeper understanding of natural immunity.

Christine’s hands became her greatest teacher when she fell in love with learning about skin. Since taking Manual Lymphatic Drainage in 2016, Christine has seen and felt faster results working lightly on the skin than deeply in muscle. The ability to reduce swelling and inflammation quicker through touch than ice has intrigued and inspired her creative mind and hands. Learning how to move water in the body was the stepping stone to understanding how to create brain waves at rest.

In 2017 Christine healed her first concussion using manual lymphatic drainage. The client at the time had been experiencing daily headaches for months post-whiplash. In one treatment Christine reduced her inflammation and the headaches never came back. Since healing the concussion, Christine has been developing her own Mind-Body skin treatment called MIFlowTherapy.

EXPERIENCE

In the last 24 years, Christine has studied Cranial Sacral Therapy, Pregnancy Massage, Muscle Energy, Acupuncture and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage was developed in Germany and Acupuncture theory came from China. Both QI and Lymph are water, the life force of the body. When blood is 90% water, moving water becomes essential medicine. Water becomes stagnant when the body doesn’t move enough and blood thickens. When blood thickens heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate and body fat increase, making the body more susceptible to sickness and disease.
