Laura graduated with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, after completing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University. Laura is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, as well as the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
As an alumnus of the National Ski Academy and a former FIS level alpine ski racer, Laura enjoys working with athletes of all sports, levels, and ages. She is a member of the National Coaching Certification Program and holds certifications as a CSCF ski racing coach and a CSIA ski instructor to share her passion for sport by training young athletes since 2008. She believes her experience with the highs and lows of rehabilitation and training serve as an advantage to her practice.
Laura has taken several continued professional development courses upon graduating to apply a holistic person-centered approach when developing individualized treatments for her patients. Most recently, she has become a vestibular rehabilitation physiotherapist able to provide therapy to those who sustain concussions or experience vertigo, dizziness, or eye tracking issues. Laura is a level 1 pelvic health physiotherapist, able to provide treatment for men and women with pelvic floor dysfunctions. She has also obtained a stroke competency certificate and a FIFA football medicine diploma. Aside from these specialties, Laura is comfortable providing treatments for various conditions within cardiorespiratory, neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Laura wishes to pursue further pelvic health levels and acupuncture education in the future.
