WHAT IS CLUB PHYSIO PLUS’ PROTOCOL FOR TREATING PATIENTS WHO ARE AT RISK OF EXPOSURE OF COVID-19 DUE TO THEIR EMPLOYMENT?
Club Physio Plus’ mandate is based on the guidelines from the “Ministry of Health : COVID-19 Operational Requirements: Health Sector Restart. This documents is a resource for all the Colleges of Physiotherapists, Registered Massage Therapists, Acupuncturists and Chiropractors.
In this document on page 7 it says “Testing for COVID-19 should be undertaken for all patients who are at risk of exposure to COVID-19 through their employment including essential workers such as health care workers treating COVID-19”.
Therefore, we will require you to please get a recent negative COVID-19 test before your appointment. The new Ontario testing protocol allows health professionals to get a COVID-19 test with no symptoms and the Doctor online can put a rush on it for 24hours.
We will require you to provide a copy of the negative result before attending your appointment. You can bring this is in with you or send via e-mail prior to your appointment. This will have to be repeated each treatment unless you are off work on vacation, then we would just need one test from your last day of work.
